Does he mean no MPA's at Lossie or none at all for the exercise? I'm betting there will be some MPA interests.

Cool - so scimitar was right then, although for the wrong reasons. Wonder if FRADU and the Falcons will be there too or if they'll go to Sumburgh instead ? :Wow:

Don't be silly Scott - the exercise is based around Barra and therefore will be invaded on the first Monday. Mind you - makes sense now I think about it :Wow:

So no MPA because we can't get past 1 P-8 on the Pan. Didn't think we were that short
of space and it's not like the MPA flow is hectic by any means.
Still spread the love. :)

Fast jets at Lossie will do for me.

Hard to believe that a couple of feet can make the difference eh? Nimrods managed it ok on Lima! Surely there's enough room for the hot pit far enough away from the MPA's down the far end?

It may be down to a designated area which they can operate from that conforms to Health & Safety in some way and cannot be changed on the hoof so to speak.

Not sure if it's relevant but when the Nimrods used to park on Lima during their boltholes from Kinloss, they had to be pushed so far back into their parking slots to allow others to taxi pass that their rear wheels where nearly on the grass. Also any MPA parked on Lima would infringe on the Armed Aircraft slots which are also located on Lima.

With German, Belgian, USMC and any extra RAF/RN aircraft all supposedly taking part, messing facilities would be hard pushed to cope with the influx.
