That's some log, just like the good old days.

Your Portuguese C-130 was 16801.

16801 is your missing C-130 which departed and then returned with an emergency.
Sounded like a loose panel. He landed 23 did a check and departed 05.

there were 2 C130s

one arrived the day before as c/s AFP30 ( reported as 16806 viewtopic.php?f=74&t=137678 ) and night stopped - departed in the morning and shows as having returned soon after departure before departing again.

c/s AFP31 arrived in the afternoon before departing later - is this the one reported as 16801 or was it the night stopping one with yesterday's report being incorrect?

Rubberneck

16806 was the night stopper I know this because I travel to Lossie with Vulcan 425 who posted ( reported as 16806 viewtopic.php?f=74&t=137678 )
16801 was the one that arrived yesterday afternoon and if you take a look at contrail 1958's reply that shows it was 16801 that trouble with a loose
panel or something

thanks for your help

was quering it because I know from the flight plan system that AFP30 diverted back to Lossie shortly after getting airborne in the morning and departed again after a very short stay. Contrails mention of 16801 returning with a problem had me wondering if there had been a mix up...

must have been a bad day for them if both had to divert back with problems.

That was it! Some beast of a thing.

Cheers!
Was there a KC135 yesterday?

I was there from about 11.00 until 18.30 and never saw a KC135, is there a new stealth version that I'm not aware of.

16806 departed 09:50L on 6th and didn't return with a problem, up and away. Same day 16801 came in on 10 as the 23 cable broke and departed at 16:47L on 23. Shortly after take off a panel light was reported and she landed on 23 15 minutes later, turned round on the concrete at 05 and took off again with the panel secured at 17:10. All times are from the camera. I'm not sure what the flight plan system indicated but from the Mk 1 eyeball on the ground, 16806 did not return.

2 x KC-135's this week - one on Wednesday (5th) 60-0324 at around 11:23L and the other today (Fri 7th) 63-8871 at 13:18L

strange as the system showed an arrival message had been sent ~ showing a divert back. Guess operator error somewhere.

Thanks for clearing that up Al, I was reasonably confident in what I didn't see.

Thread drift is getting as bad as EGPK.
