JW 102 - Weds 6/10/10

Medium-sized airliner-type, two podded engines - unsure of type but probably an Airbus although could also have been a Boeing, seen o/h my home (between Lossie & Kinloss) around 09:30 this morning. I only saw it for a split second in very poor visibility. Most likely heading into Kinloss as it was heading roughly west, but Lossie also a possibility.

Any ideas?

US Navy C-40 or Canadian Polaris per chance. Only types I can think of that may be related to the exercise that is on at the moment.

That's what I thought - I only saw it for a split second out of my living room window as it popped out of the clag and really not well enough to identify it as a specific type. I'd have thought Kinloss more likely than Lossie judging by the direction it was heading. No doubt one of the Kinloss fence gang will report in in due course.
