Not a real loco buff then? :P
Can't beat a Deltic ...preferably 55 002... Got a cab ride Edinburgh to Dundee in that circa 1981.

Absolutely. I have a number panel cut from the side of 55018 Ballymoss. Just tieing this back into the Leuchars discussion, John Cameron - the owner of A4 60009 - was reputed to have put in a bid for Ballymoss around the time of the Deltic withdrawal. Sadly, it was not to be but it kept my hopes going. I had a couple of cab rides in 55015 Tulyar.

Ohh. You mean the subsequent Deltics, not THE Deltic.

The A4 reference was to a class of steam locomotive, not an A-4 Skyhawk.
DOH! That couldn't have been more comical if I'd tried, hahaha

I was 3! Jeez!!, and just as daft on military aviation then as I am today!! Prestwick was my local airshow until I moved to Edinburgh in 1980, then it became Leuchars! And jeez am I suffering from airshow withdrawal syndrome 🤪
Warning; Military aviation is seriously addictive!
