Herc has absolutely no markings except the usual high viz star & bar/ nothing on fin or nose & no bureau # carried , only ‘clue’ being ‘762’ showing vertically on the cockpit window sun shades
With a clearer view of this on departure earlier it looks to have the bureau # applied to the starboard side at least in the usual place but minute -but no other unit marks
I wouldn't panic too much about the lack of markings. It isn't a new USN policy. The aircraft had recently come out of a major overhaul at Ogden ALC, which included a complete strip down and repaint. The actual aircraft unit re-applies unit markings after such an overhaul and it was just a case of the aircraft being required for duties in Europe before markings had been re-applied.muscat90 wrote: ↑Fri May 09, 2025 2:39 pmParked top off Apron C , BUT, does the slippery slope continue ?
