Numptys at Leuchars Airshow

Post by nugget44444 » Sat Sep 11, 2010 11:56 pm

It's bad enough someone standing in front of you when you are about to take a picture at an airshow normally its even worse when people cross the barrier and completly block the shot you were waiting for all day.
This was what I got for the F3's Finale flypast
Anyone want to name and shame this pair of numptys

Don't know about this pair but I was all set to get film with the Video Camera of the Tornado GR.4 Duo departing for their Demo when what happens, The Vulcan Maintenance Van and Escort decided to drive down the Display Line, View blocked :grr: Cheerz guys..............

Also would like to thank the two Numpties who decided to stand right in the way of my shot of the 6 Sqn Typhoon, one was one of those daytripper types who couldn't tell one type of Aircraft from another and just looked blankly at it and the other was an oldish looking enthusiast type gent (no not a Veteran) who decides he's just going to stand there looking at it regardless of who's trying to view/ photograph the plane behind him.

Mind you the one on the right looks like Major Numpty and the T@~t on the left is Sargent Stupid.......

The one on the right is Richard Head, not sure about the other one.

Wan't there myself.... but surely the flypast would have been in the sky and they wouldn't have been in the way?

Flypast would have been visible, yes, but if your going for a long range "inbound" shot then these two bollards are deffinately in the way! Plus they are showing scant regard for others by blatantly crossing over the crowd barrier which is a no-no, just to give themselves a better look and gain the publics affection( :grr: ). As enthusiastic aircraft photgraphers we all give thought to positioning ourselves in such a way that we obtain the shots we are after, whilst NOT ruining others photo oppertunities....dont we?!? These two genital warts are obviously not of the same league, and probably never will be if this is anything to go by.

They were aware they upset everyone as there was a lot of comments thrown at them not just by us but others as well but this did not encourage them to move back. We were all lined up at the crowd line and they decided to walk in and cross the line at the vital moments . Least we got the air shots but not the approach

By the look of the "barnets" these guys are probably forces personnel.

Why not send an email to the Airshow Office and kick up a stink about your "spoiled day" etc etc.

Who knows, you might get a freebie for next year.

Only times ive seen forces personnel go flight side of the barrier, they always have some form of ID on them, round the neck or attached to their belts, even if they are not in uniform. Cant see any ?

Have to agree the haircuts do make them look forces personell which in that case they should know better but it never spoiled my day though I had a fantastic day I always do at Leuchars even the parking last year and the year before didn't bother me and would be lying if I said these two numptys ruined it for me . It's just annoying when people like this blatantly break the rules for their own satisfaction. When they did it I didn't have any time left to find another spot for a shot

Yeah, but the Airshow Office don't need to know that do they?

Loads of sniff sniff, travelled for hours, sniff sniff, restricted budget, sniff sniff, don't know when I'll be able to afford to attend another show, sniff sniff, whole day ruined by thoughtless personnel, taking advantage of their position, sniff sniff......................................works every time. :thumb:

I must have been standing a few feet away from you when you took that photo  What a pair of numpty :grr: There was a couple of kids quite far past the crowdline just to the left of them two :grr:

There was someone from the forces who was meant to stop people doing it. Not to far away from where this was all going on and he just looked at what was happening and said nothing :O

According to a 'warning ' we had in the enthusiasts enclosure, on Saturday. 2 of the enthusiasts decided to cross the barriers at the enclosure that morning, and were escorted from the camp. So its not just Joe Public that does it.
If it cant be fixed with a hammer, then its an electrical problem.

Although I'm sorry that this has happened to those people who were affected by these selfish individuals, it is wrong and dishonest of you to suggest and condone taking such action.

Short hair does not mean that they are "probably forces personnel" at all!

The fact that they are sporting short hair, is not of itself a determination of forces membership. However, taken in conjunction with these fellas having the confidence to "breach" the fence line and to do so in full view of marshals with impunity, does make it a fair assumption to make.

There was no indication of any humour in your post. There was however, a blatant suggestion.
