Working for Sky I can tell you that you are allowed to pause your SkySports subscription and you will not be charged a fee to do so or be held to any notice period.

Hope that helps mate.

Also, Sky Go Extra has been made available to all customers for free. Access to Sky TV on 3 screens at same time, inc. your main TV.

Sky mobile customers will get 10gb of data added to their Piggybanks free of charge.

Sky Talk customers get calls to all UK landlines at any time of day for free from this weekend to the end of April.

It's actually a very nice gesture from Sky and good on them. :thumb:

However! I wasn't very impressed with them a couple of weeks ago. I'm a 'Sky VIP' customer as I've been with them for ages - I have my broadband, landline, 2 mobile phones and Sky TV with the Sports package with them. I dread to think how much all that has cost me over the years.

Both of the wires from my dish kept falling out of the connectors that screw into the back of my Sky+ box, I don't think they had ever been connected properly in the first place as there is no way that the connectors can grip the cables.
I went to their website and booked an engineer to come and fix it but then got an email from them to say that my box was out of warranty and I would have to pay £65 for the engineer's visit!
I emailed them back to say that it was a problem with the wires from the dish and that the box was working fine, they wouldn't back down so I cancelled the engineers visit and sorted it myself with some electrician's tape.

It's working great now but it would have only taken their engineer about 2 minutes to sort properly, I am not happy with them to say the least!

Ref the cancellation process - so far, after waiting about 15 mins or so to actually log into the site, the circulating icon has been going around, and around, and around, and around, and............. for nearly 2 hrs, and shows absolutely no signs of ever completing :grr:

2 hrs later - and no change ;)
