Yeap, just another example of how the penalty system doesn't currently work(when they bother to use it). Same with the two Mercs at Monza. It's about time a place-drop or drop behind penalty system was introduced.

Noticed Alonso car off the pace also. Gives the conspiracy groups of the Aston and red bull share of development wind tunnel time and over budget so use Aston Martin, 2 teams worth of budget and development. Let Alonso be shotgun for the redbulls.

Well that wasn't as bad as it could have been. Also, can't say I noticed any stand out drives from anyone. In a good way anyway!

Was okay that, great result for McLaren again. Only a matter of time before Lando gets that first win. He's now officially the most successful driver in the history of F1 without a win having overtaken Hulk last weekend.

Dr. Marko must be seething at Perez's 'performance'

Wasn't Perez's a standout for being so diabolical, or is that just the norm now?

No idea why they wouldn't bump off Perez, and stick in Ricciardo, and then have Lawson and Tsunoda in at AT (I get that might be the case for 25, but Perez has never been so erratic!)

Ricciardo would just be a Bottas at Mercedes to Verstappen in a Red Bull. A solid points/podium scoring partner.

Piastri at Red Bull in the not too distant future, bearing in mind that sometimes contracts aren't worth the paper they are printed on?? Sorry to say it, but I think Ricciardo's days are over as a driver in a top team.

Not necessarily. From what I recall, they were pretty even when team mates. Though back then boy wonder was still driving everyone he didn't crash in too off the track. It's a bit unfair to judge Ricciardo by his performance at McLaren, and he hasn't had enough time at the energy drink company's fashion branded team to prove himself yet.
Also, I'd rate Ricciardo on a much higher level than Bottas.

Also, championship wise Perez has done a good enough job this year. He's second to boy wonder and he's unlikely to be caught for P2. But that's taking a 'Mercedes dominated the last 8 years stance'. However, had a genuine fight for the championships actually existed this year, Perez would be bleeding constructors points on a arterial level, which regardless of what Herr Horner says, matters to the team no end!

Contracts certainly aren’t worth much to master Piastri!

Sorry to say it, but I think Ricciardo's days are over as a driver in a top team.

See above :thumb: Also, no other notable drivers are easily available to the energy drinks company.

Lawson in again for Ricciardo this weekend. Hopefully a better race throughout the field this time around.

Stewarding at its best again! The top 3 being interviewed ending up completely different to how Sunday will start. Is it me or are no sporting officials actually reliable!?

Crazy that, we saw it and knew it immediately live with Norris, usually takes seconds for the 'deleted' caption to come up. God knows why it took so long, then Piastri too!
Mixed emotions, gutted for McLaren but at least Lewis and George benefit. I predict Lewis slip steaming Max down to T1 at the start, Max moves across agressively to block George letting Lewis fly by. Max panics, brakes late and goes wide letting the entire grid through. Shortly afterwards his engine fails. Max then handed a 20 place penalty for Sundays race. Lewis wins, followed by George then Lando.

What's with Stroll. shocking behaviour, does he want to be in that car or is it just Daddy wants him in the car? Wonder if he'll walk away for '24? I'm told he prefers tennis.

The impression is certainly there that something is happening behind the scenes. And his interview with F1's journalist was atrocious.

Can see the future now, Andretti's entry blocked by F1 teams, daddy Stroll pulls out leaving the team bankrupt, and F1 has only 9 teams left...

I've always thought it was Lance trying to please Lawrence, not the other way round. He's invested heavily in AM, I think he'll be around for a long time.

Sadly F1 is getting more and more boring, Marko and RB seem to call the shots on what can and can't happen, it's pathetic, more teams, more competition, let them in.
I'm off to watch the rugby..
:Wow:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Wow, tyres not holding up. Possible 3 compulsory stops in the main race.

Wow those 2 or 3 racing laps were epic. Arguably best of the season, maybe recent history. But as I've said before, safety cars in a shorter race are a no-no. What a bundle of fail (putting it lightly) that was.

Bit unfair for the first DNF, one small mistake and boom, race over.
