Hi all
I have just got back from Southampton Hospital as had a check up with the surgeon Mr Antonio Ravaglioli and he is very pleased with how my heart is responding to the surgery
All good news and very happy
I also managed to see a few of the nurses who looked after me during my stay in hospital,it was very unexpected and lovely to be able to see them.

What a difference a year makes
This week is exactly a year on from my third major open heart surgery (August 22/23 2022 and I spent 10 days in ICU and three to four weeks probably more as I can’t remember how long exactly all I know is I was home by early October )after in wards /E2 ward at Southampton )and I’m pretty much fully fit now (as much as I’d ever be ) the surgeon said it would take roughly 9-10 months to re adjust /fully recover after the surgery and he was right
Goes to show what keeping as positive as possible can do and keeping a open mind
Did a track day at Castle Combe yesterday which is honestly something I never thought would be possible (actually driving a vehicle on a track with a instructor ) what a way to celebrate…

Glad to hear that Max - great news.

Treat yourself to a day at Marham - very relaxing and great for the race - the Human Race!

Mind you the lack of visitors means Lakenheath is pretty quiet these days.

Hi all
Have had an early morning trip down to Southampton Hospital (appointment was at 08:15 ) for my annual check up ,had a esg and eco cardiogram.
Saw the cardiac consultant and she is very pleased with how my heart is doing .
It is two years since my third major open heart surgery
Next week I am away on holiday in Milan (trip to see Monza race track home of the Italian Grand Prix ) .

Great news. I had 8 days in Addenbrookes in April to deal with a long standing aortic aneurism N.H.S??? Faultless as far as my treatment over the years has gone. I once booked a trip to Italian G.P. Had to cancel last minute due to work pressures. You have now made me jealous. Hope all goes well with you and the holiday.
