They are wanting upto 25 races a season and I heard some talks on Sunday before the race about possibly 33 in a season so great surprise it was announced as they been talking about it for ages, Still sounds good though and another new track to look forward to.
F1/FIA seems to forget about the hard working crew, it would be ridiculous to have that many, I honestly think 20 was a good number.

Would love it to replace Monaco.

But yet another street circuit :'(
I love Monaco, the whole spectacle is fantastic...I would hate to see it lost, too much history.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

'Rather watch on TV than go to Monaco'

Wow!

Mind you I think at most tracks you end up watching the big screens anyway

Great part of the world and great atmosphere - stay in Nice, get a bit of spotting in then train to Monaco , walk the track afterwards then train back to Nice for more biz jet spotting !

I read on the Web that Vettel has retired - Fake News ?

Also seen that Ricciardo is going at the end of the year. We'll see, and I certainly hope not.

On a related subject, horny horner has been mouthing off about him, on how he chose the wrong time to leave the team. My lord that man is a (insert your own expletive for a person's genitals here).

I think the Ricciardo quote was a wind up
Horner should keep his mouth shut and concentrate on his job..

Oh no doubt its only been quoted as its slow on news in this sport right now, but yea, perhaps if he'd had spent more time concentrating on his own team instead of throwing tantrums and accusations at Mercedes, they might have won the Constructors Championship last year and most likely a legitimate Drivers Championship.

Slogen. Re spotting. 3 years ago T and I were on a cruise that stopped in Villefranche, unloaded half the ship for the Grand Prix that day. One guy was on the cruise simply to spot and log all the passing helicopters!!!!. Horses for courses eh. :)

Recording devices ! darn casuals :)
I'm actually gutted it's on a bit later than back in the day, always used to be an all nighter. I think the year it went to ITV they played blokes films through the night until the build up started, one was The Dirty Dozen if I remember correctly. This year there's a DAZN Boxing show on from the states that should finish about 05:30 to keep me going.

For many years I was in Corallejo, Fuertaventura for this race. That entailed finding a pub/club a few days before that would allow you in. Most were private parties only, but if you were obviously a serious enthusiast, they would invite you in. I spent many nice early morning visits. Didn't matter who you supported, it was always a terrific atmosphere, whoever was winning. Not like another sport I could mention!. Good times!.

I have Now TV, so I'll just be watching the full race re-run at the respectable time of 9.30am. Although it might even be the 2.25pm showing depending on how Saturday night goes!
