With his mad, bullying, and totally illegal scheme, to turn Gaza into a holiday resort Trump has effectively wrecked the already fragile peace process and signed the death warrant for thousands of of Palestinians, scores of Israeli soldiers and the hostages who are still alive.
He's also signed his own death warrant. Security Services must have had their heads in their hands when he stated he was going to buy the place and turn it into Monaco v2.0. Every Middle East terrorist will want to be the one that takes him out.

Guys just let it go, we have no influence on them. Look at our shower of excrement 🤣
Exactly, I couldn't agree more. I let my sister have a rant on iMSG about him and then move on. Why get so bent out of shape about someone only the American electorate can do something about. :S

I think it's very important to be discussing the potential damage Trump will do.
First the USA is a major trade partner of the UK and his actions could affect jobs here.
Second they are a major defence partner and the move to isolationism is dangerous for the balance of power.
Third - under Trump there is a significant chance that Mildenhall, Lakenheath and Fairford could be negatively effected.
Fourth - the USAF and USN already only attend airshows with assets already in theatre (theater?) - Musk's drive to cut costs could easily extend to RIAT attendance.

Aside from that, Trump is using tariffs as a weapon to gain better and easier access to UK services for US companies, particularly services that the NHS subcontract.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Trump knows only one way, everything is a business transaction to him. He'll never be our friend.

Actually, If he is seen to be attempting to broker peace then its a win win... Whereas if the plan fails and they don't solve the Ukraine conflict.. Then the US may yet just give them more weapons...

I guess we have 4 years of him to find out.... :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦

At long last an American has considered the idea of adding another state to the Union. As indicated in the top left of my posts, the UK would be an excellent candidate. Geographically a similar distance as two other states from the Continental US and strategically placed to support the US’s colonial ambitions but lacking the resouces of Canada perhaps Trump might pursue this course of action.
The advantages of such a move would be of immense benefit to members of FC and the general population too.

Disgust ;)

So you want the war to drag on and on and on?

As unpalatable as it may be, it seems to me that there wont be peace without some compromises.

Trump spoke at length with Zelensky just before, or just after he won the election

Trump and Vance are very impressive. Vance gave a great speech in Munich yesterday.

No, it was superb. I think it was the greatest political speech by any politician I have ever heard. Calling out the total failure of European governments. The loss of freedom of speech etc.
I hope we get to see 8 years of President Vance after 4 more years of Trump. If only we had such a leader here in the UK. We need our own Trump and Vance.

I've just listened to the Vance speech in Munich, and thought it was pretty well rounded and accurate.

If it makes European leaders uncomfortable, then good, it's about time.

Ah yes. Because freedom of speech is going so well in America!
