I can't remember the last time F1 cars actually ran (a race) at full power!
How do you know this?
Anyone who knows the basics of F1 should know this. Limited to 3/4 engines per season, yea that's a guarantee they are going to be ran at full power.
100kg of fuel per race, definitely guaranteed to be ran at full power.
'Lift and coast'.
Fastest race laps 3-10 seconds slower than qualifying laps(on the same engine map setting BTW)-yes there can be a tyre usage deficit, but that can be worked out by the lap time difference.
Monaco-is it even possible to do Monaco on full power?

Great to see Williams and specifically Albon doing better. It's down to money. The limit on the number of engines plays a big part, long gone are the days of engines just for qualy and just dropping in a new one when it suited.
Those were the days!
You've also got the general cost cap holding teams back. To level things up they need to impose bigger restrictions on the winning teams.
Spot on. Whilst the cost cap is clearly working for the mid-field, it isnt for the teams at the front.
So Damon is saying Merc have a winning car for '24 and Rosberg says Norris is on the move in '24 rather than seeing his contract out.
Similar things were said about last years Merc..
I don't think I'd like him at RB, unless Max clears off he's never going to be #1. Pains me to say it but I don't think he's as good as Max
The drinks company is his team though. The car is built to exploit boy wonders abilities, and does so stunningly well. Doesn't make his team mates with different driving styles look so great though. Would he beat Norris in last years McLaren? Maybe, but it would be very close. Which one would prevail in a Haas i wonder?
Norris, Russell and boy wonder are the future of F1. Its just a great shame that the former 2 haven't been given the machinery they deserve to show their talents. Leclerc has potential, but he throws it in the wall waaaay to often.

Only driver who ever looked like going full power round Monaco was Senna in my opinion.

That makes no sense, given what an F1 car is capable of and the nature of the circuit no driver has ever gone at anything like full power at Monaco, even Senna with his 6 (?) wins there, they'd be just flying off the circuit everywhere. If you mean using the maximum amount of power possible for the circuit then, yes, probably.

A junior driver from a certain team is dropped for using a racial profanity during an online gaming session.
One of the senior members of that very same team describes one of his own drivers as 'not as good as max because he's South American' (of which he is not BTW) and.......

The 'junior member' dropped had his second Indycar series drive last Sunday. I cannot understand Marko!. At his age, one year younger than me, he should be enjoying his last few years on a beach, instead of upsetting people. He should come with me to Dubai in 3 weeks time, and I'll show him that it is possible to enjoy life when you're are old. Miserable bl...y man!!.

Why aren't we saying his name? Anyway I'd forgotten about this so had to look it up, interestingly Juti Vipps was replaced as test/reserve by Mr Lawson. He does alright from other peoples misfortune (stupidity?) doesn't he.

Just fat fingers 🤣
I hope everyone will join me in wishing ex F1 Mega Star, Kamui Kobayashi a very happy birthday today.
You've no idea how many times I had to fix autocorrect in that. Calling him Kamikaze just seemed unfair.

On another note, Mclaren have changed livery slightly. Some sources say just for Singapore and Japan, others the rest of the season.

Some talk that Ricciardo might not be back this season at all!

Good, give the seat to an upcoming talent, who has done pretty well since coming up.

I do like the Mclaren livery, a tad too busy maybe but very nice indeed.
As for Daniel, that will be a shame, a talented driver who seems to be in the wilderness at the moment, hopefully it'll come good for him sometime very soon.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Another good couple of sessions for Ferrari, fingers crossed for a result.
I see the FIA have commented in the Helmut situation, “We can confirm that Helmut Marko has received a written warning and been reminded of his responsibilities as a public figure in motor sport in line with the FIA Code of Ethics.”.
I challenge anyone to go to work on Monday and make a derogatory remark about some's ethnicity and keep your job. Guess F1 is different, 'We Race As One' remember'.

Well, that was different!!!. DR. Marko should now be given gardening leave... permanently, and given a book on geography, so that he can learn that Mexico is in North America, NOT South America!!. Silly man!!!.

2 Haas' in top 10 and Lawson! What a great qualifying.

Stroll, glad he is okay but again showing why he is only in F1 because of his father.
