One from last night's Tipping Point that I will remember for a long time... (You need to have watched The Simpsons for it to be funny though)

"In his epic poems, Homer often refers to nectar as being the drink of the gods and which other substance as their food?"

Contestant's answer - "Donuts"

I actually (jokingly) said 'donuts' out loud as soon as I saw the question as whenever I hear Homer (the author) mentioned I always think of the yellow man instead! Wonder if it was a bit of a set up to take advantage of the contestants being under pressure/nervous? Still funny though.

Edit - someone has uploaded it to Youtube -

OK it's not from a TV show, but from Ken Bruce's PopMaster last Thursday:

Which 3 word title provided top ten songs for Human League and Madonna?

- 'don't you want me'.

Clearly the contestant isn't going to go on and do Eggheads.

From Wednesday’s The Chase:

Bradley: The Mexican giant cardon is the tallest species of what desert plant?

Rosa: Camel?

Later on Jenny Ryan told Rosa that she wouldn’t keep her long ‘because she needed to get home to water that camel!’

Tonight on the new quiz Sitting on a Fortune with Gary Linekar the female contestant (a primary school teacher) was asked where was the Bermuda Triangle. Four options Dead Sea, Atlantic Ocean ,Loch Ness and another which I forget. She thought it was between Dead Sea and Loch Ness. Choosing in the end Loch Ness

Where do they find these people .

Not to mention which peat bog did they dig Gary Lineker out of for yet another overpaid cameo :grr:

Enough to make you not pay your licence fee, considering how much of it goes to him :grr:
