According to the Times quoting a Soldier from the Taliban Fateh unit

" Not a Single Foreign soldier left in Afghanistan"

According to the paper the last C-17 Moose 85 left at 23:59 local on Monday

A complete victory for the insurgent force
The previous era of 'foreign soldiers' may have left, but the next will soon arrive. The Taliban needs to learn how to fly its new aircraft and fire its new weapons, and the US isn't the only country with a 6th SOS.

The evacuation will go down as another failure by the West in the Middle East, but the fallout in Washington will hide how evacuation jets started leaving with empty seats and C-17s were flying napkins rather than people out.

A few weeks ago, before the emergency evacuation really hit the news, I was looking at the Royal Canadian Air force Facebook to see if there were any hints about the upcoming F/A-18 deployment. I was surprised to read a bit about operation Aegis - evacuating Afghanistan refugees to Canada at the start of August.

With glowing hearts, we see thee arrive… Welcome to Canada!
The first Operation AEGIS flight carrying evacuees from Afghanistan arrived in Toronto this evening. The #RCAF CC-177 Globemaster is the first #CAF flight for this new operation intent on relocating at-risk Afghan personnel and their families who worked with the Government of Canada.
Operation AEGIS is the Canadian Armed Forces’ contribution to the evacuation effort, supporting our Government of Canada partners with planning, coordination, and as required, airlift support.

I didn't realize some countries were starting to evacuate people as early as 4 August at least. Clearly they thought something bad was going to happen soon.

😷
An Afghan saying, We have the time, you have the watches.

That year 2005,
the opium crop exceeded four thousand tons, surpassing its previous peak, achieved just before the Taliban had banned the crop in 2000.

Here we go again

 Edited. You have the watches but we have the time. (My Pashtun is not so good)
