With TMS due to start at 2300, an 0400 alarm call is likely on previous performance to be too late :ninja:

Awaiting COVID test results - could bring this match, and maybe the complete series, to a premature end.

Sadly the 3rd Test will be over shortly. England 65 for 8. Still 17 runs behind.

At least it will be an early night

Australia win by an Inning and 14 runs.

The whole England system needs to looked at.

The England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 setup has been more interested in white-ball cricket for the past few years so no wonder we are so abysmal on the test match scene

I don't believe it !

We do focus on white ball cricket but then so do all the other test nations but I agree county cricket should be being played in mid summer and not sidelined.

What a carp couple of days sport - both Man U and England feeble.

Get rid of central contracts. Its no good playing back to back test matches with no time in between to re-group or practice. In the past between test matches players would return to their county for practice if necessary. Its no good expecting players to perform at the highest level in the current test match programme of one match after another. We also need to bring on english players and stop the wholesale import of overseas players just to swell the coffers. Often these players do not perform as expected. We have produced our own highly talented players such as Botham, Anderson, Stokes which are just as good to watch as some of the overseas players. Lets look at home grown players and give them a chance.

Australian Media have reportedly awarded the England Cricket Team their Sports Personality of The Year Award, for helping them retain the Ashes!

Stokes of course imported from New Zealand.

I think you are being unduly pessimistic - the Sydney weather is notoriously unreliable. Two or three wet days should give England a fighting chance of a drawn test.

Not really at the top of my priorities

Another England coach has tested positive following a regime of PCR testing introduced on 27/12 according to the BBC :-

" England have recorded seven positive cases - three support staff and four family members - since a PCR testing regime began on Monday 27 December. "

Seven positive tests seems quite high to me in a country that we are told has a very low incidence of Covid-19
