07:37 Root goes without a review - close

Both Malan and Root are out - but they were looking good :)

Pope and Stokes need a decent partnership - both capable batsmen - still 222 behind

09:55 Woods bowled

England all out for 188 a long way behind

Over to the bowlers again to take early Aussie wickets

10:08 Warner gone for a duck, a pair!

That will plank up Broad

FC doesn't allow phrases such as pin plank or plank up your ears!

10:25 The talented Labuschagne is out ( become bit of a walking wicket in recent weeks)

Australia 5 runs for 2 wickets

You don't have to be sir Geoffrey Boycott to know England have a big chance of winning this match- if we can get Australia out for under 200

Which would be a lead of nearly 300.
Have England actually passed 300 in any innings this series yet, cannot remember one, though a couple in the 290's.
Eng's average wkt per run this series is about 22, only TWO series of three or more Tests have been worse, and they were back in the 1880's!!!

No. England have not passed 300 in any innings in Australia and for that statistical reason I think they might in the next couple of days - let's hope they don't have too!

You just need a bit of faith

Although there is no evidence at the moment that England could chase down 300+ but given 4-5 sessions I would like to think England could calmly bat to 350 given that it is the final test, backs against the wall, go home on a high etc etc

Firstly we need to dismiss Australia!

Australia all out for 155

So England need 271 to win

Day night match so a tricky period to bat through tonight ( or this morning in blighty) so try and keep plenty of wickets for tomorrow. A very plausible chase.

All out for 124, England have lost all 10 wickets since it was 68-0.

Hopeless and gutless. :grr:

What a Jokeavic; shame the cricket team did not invoke the wrath of the Australian Govt before the series started!

Indeed.
On their visas it probably said 'Professional Cricketer'
Over this series there's been a whole lot of lying as they certainly were not.

Extremely disappointing and a pathetic effort

Problem is we will probably win well against a weak WI team in March and all will be forgotten

I wouldn't call them gutless and certainly not to their faces but people say all sorts on a keyboard
