Not keen on watching faster drivers being blocked tho'.
Indeed, how daft that whilst completely within the rules, it caused a huge train of cars which would have caused outroar had it changed the race winner!

If people wish to see more overtaking, perhaps they should give up watching F1 and go for a drive along the M1 where the performance of some could be equated to driving round an F1 track :ninja:

🇺🇦🌻🇺🇦
In an effort to regain some of my former enthusiasm for F1, I decided that a recording of the highlights might reduce the boredom.
There was some elements of success, fast forwarding at the maximum speed gave the best results.
As a complete contrast to Monaco;

A friend and I stayed at this circuit during a late sixties trip. We walked the whole 14+ miles during which time we were passed several times by a Ferrari which was testing.

Well worth a visit

Yes Monaco is a great venue/spectacle but does seem to be just a procession round the track. What did amaze me was the number of "hangar-ons" who were on the grid before the start who are these people tin pot celebrities etc the mechanics could hardly move. Get these people off the grid.

But most sports are just series of interludes dotted with some goal mouth action. Take football , its mostly players passing and falling over with the occasional goal - the tension is caused because it is your team playing - if you don't have a vested interest then it can be very boring ( although I did quite enjoy Liverpool the other day!)

So I wanted Mad Max to win so every minute of the race was interesting ( I listened on the radio so I could still potter about) in case something happens to Ferrari , which it did :)

Some drivers views about Monaco.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Surely Alonso bunching up the pack meant that his team-mate Ocon was unable to make a 5 second gap to make up for his penalty, so effectively COSTING Alpine some team points? Alonso driving for himself rather than the team.

It was the team that ordered him to hold Hamilton behind. Not that it would have made any difference.

Well, another street race tomorrow [Sunday]. Will be traveling, so can't watch for a few days. Hope it runs smoother than the first F.2 race today. 3 Safety cars and a big crash on the last lap. Lot happens in a 21 lap race!!.

Things could get interesting at Red Bull if Perez outscores Max Max again

Perez could become Leclercs biggest ally by taking points from max whereas Charles if he finishes is ahead of Sainz

Did I hear on the Radio that there has been another two fatalities at the IOM TT in a side car event?

#spoileralert!

True though, last year rb needed race officials to gift them the championship, this year Ferrari are doing it for them. Not good enough.

Agreed

From the high lights several other Ferrari powered cars also gave up

Nice to see Vettel finishing in the points and Hamilton driving with more intent and porpoise sorry purpose

And I like Lee McKenzie as the main C4 presenter

A great weekend for Red Bull, but WTF is going on with Ferrari's engines? :O

Russel continues to outperform Hamilton in the Mercedes, but then Merc seem to be deliberately trying to cripple Hamilton with the car setup! Boing, Boing, Boing!

Don'tthink I missed much with Baku!. Back now. Looking forward to Sunday. Went to the Canadian many moons ago, watched Alan Jones in a Williams winning. Montreal is a nice place [need to speak some French there if you want the locals to like you!] :)
