Can’t help wondering how many of the Ferrari team will be working for Red Bull next year and a current world champion who is only that because the rules were, at best, misapplied.

Far more kudos to Hamilton and Russell for bringing through their bouncing bombs.

I must agree about Verstappen, I don't consider him a champion at all, Hamilton and Russell did really well, they can enjoy a little holiday now, the second half of the season looks interesting, especially if ferrari get themselves a decent strategist..
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Good drive by Max. Excellent from Lewis. What a pity there weren't two more laps with a bit more rain!!. I suspect that there will be a vacancy for a Ferrari Team Manager at the end of the season, which is a fairly commonplace occurrence!.
Bang on, just add to that 2 driver vacancies, and an entire strategy team at failarri.

And I should add, that wasn't a bad race at all, even without the monumental fail ups by one or two of the leaders. Whether it'll remain the case under these regs with the usual Hungarian summer weather remains to be seen.

He was gifted the Championship, certainly, but I think he deserves a bit of respect for his achievements.

Australian Oscar Piastri, who won the F.2 title last year is to take over Alonso's seat at Renault.

Only to then announce himself he isn't, and also won't be racing for Alpine at all next year. Oh dear.

How odd, I believe he's under contract and obliged to drive for Alpine if offered a seat. you thought they might have asked him first though. That said why wouldn't he want it, nothing else will be available, or will it :)

It's also been said he 'didn't want to drive for Williams', now unless your a die hard Failarri or red bull fan I don't see why you'd turn down a guaranteed drive in F1.. Arrogance abounds much..

A possible replacement at Mclaren, Ricciardo still underperforming?? Alonso says he wants to get back to winning. With Aston Martin...... Don't hold your breath!!!.

All well and good these little teams having these wonderful business ideas to get them to the top, and the rules being changed to help them do so. And they still get it wrong.
The only chance Alonso would have had to get back to the top is if Hamilton threw in the towel at the end of the season. But then again, would Mercedes actually want him? And how long would he stay if it turned out Russell wiped the floor with him...
Also, wouldn't it be great if all the F1 teams pulled together and said no, we don't want Piastri. He clearly thinks he's better than the sport.

I was under the impression Piastri's contract with Alpine was due to expire 31st July, and can only assume Alonso moved to give him that seat. Can't blame Piastri for it, you'd be pretty peeved to be announced as a driver when you know absolutely nothing about it. I hope he does join some team, cause he is an impressive driver.

Still, poor management from both parties to c*ck up that bad! Ricciardo has been on borrowed time for a long time.

'Pastrami' is either a great poker player and has a trump card up his sleeve or he is being given some dodgy advice from his management team, I believe a certain Mark Webber is his manager.
Sometimes it's better to get your foot in the door and race for a less competitive team for a season than to hold out for a more competitive drive a bit later (ala Gorgeous George at Merc.), a drive that may never come if he's not careful.
I don't know a lot about this young man but he certainly seems to have the arrogance to be a top driver (one day).
