We were converted from analogue to VOIP at work last summer. Phones didn't work for nearly a month, took 2 months to get our original number back, and the billing took over 6 months to sort out. And on some calls there is a terrible satellite delay - even on local calls. You have to hang up and re-dial hoping to get a better connection.
I won't be opting in to anything until absolutley forced to. I'm hoping it goes the same way as DAB radio and Betamax.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: BT landline to go by 2025
Thing is Target its all down to who pays. You deal with your service provider and BT is only one of many. They then pass it to Openreach IF THEY think work is needed and Openreach is only paid for what they are asked to do.No job number walk away sort of thing.Quite often there was a job but it was appointed for a few weeks away. With a friendly controller you could get the times changed and do the job. It really was a minefield and some people just couldnt get their head round it.You got people who you refered back to Sky(their srvice provider ) and they would say you are BT fix it.When BT had nothing to do with it..
Felt great walking out the door for the last time.
