Another vote for must see here (saw it the Friday it came out (U.K. realise week at least not sure if the same globally ),superb flying (ok some is a bit iffy on safe flying rules but hey it’s a film it’s not meant to be completely as is and would not work great on big screen if less than 30 sec long range missile strikes or same for air to air be dull movie so some had to make it interesting for audience’s) my fav is maverick (Tom Cruise is my favourite actor but he isn’t my favourite flyer in the film …you have to see to tell which is mine )
This link is really good review of the trailer

Just seen it, a fantastic sequel and in my opinion as good as the original, a real throwback to a time when America wasn't a divided nation fighting itself.

You can't beat the opening scene of TOP GUN ! Tomcats being ready launched on the carrier and Kenny Loggins singing danger zone . Fantastic. Haven't seen the sequel yet but everyone tells me its awesome but i guess a few of those people who saw it didn't even realise there was a different aircraft in this film 😊
Agree, was a bit underwhelmed when TG2 opened with a black screen... and the original had a great soundtrack all through, something TG2 hasnt got....def a vote for the original from me

One of the best films I’ve seen in a long time! If anyone wants a laugh it’s worth having a look on YouTube for Tom Cruise terrifies James Corden!

Yes, I watched the James Corden film. Scripted to and, I suspect edited to hell and back.

Watched it yesterday and thought it was great.Totally agree with Skywatcher. While recovering from brainnumbing bombardment of adverts.I thought I saw a couple F-35s? on the Cats but only noticed Hornets taking off probably wrong.Have been told by wife we are going back as she loved it so will stay in bar and wait until adverts finish before going in next time.

I did actually enjoy it, despite my comments. It was nice to see some real flying!!. I was a PPL for 10 years, but my best flight EVER was in a Vampire T.11 through the Mach Loop when an A.T.C Cadet, so I know what jet aerobatics and low level feels like!!. Would have loved to have been in the P.51, but only in the front!!!.

Saw it yesterday, finally

Superb, although how a beaten-up Tomcat took out 2 ‘Felons’ with just cannon shells I don’t know

Defo going back for another viewing ;)

I thought it was pants. A virtual remake, ending nicked off Star Wars and an advert for yachts in the middle.

It was hardly a virtual remake.
