Scammer using familiar number!

Post by daggerfan » Fri May 13, 2022 9:51 am

Had an interesting scam call yesterday and a classic example of number spoofing.

A recorded message said something about a voicemail problem, according to my wife, who took the call.

But the number showing on my caller display was my own number!

I received a scam call just before Christmas which showed my late mother's number on the caller display. We gave up that number when we sold her house in 2009.

Smart buggers, these scammers!

Scammers are scum, when they prey on older or vulnerable people.

Any able pilot could nick under that. The problem being if they raised the bridge Not sure about the dimensions of the bridge but you could probably put a Vulcan through there Cheeks might have been needed to be clinched of course. Would need the famous balls of steel but I would bet you guys that flew the Big V had them and must have thought about it.As Mike would say GHBL
