Maybe they should just play a 3 day test followed by two one dayers. At least they would sell all the tickets!

Yes 141 AO. A lead of 9 runs. Not sure I'm confident of us chasing anything over 150 to be honest!

At stumps on day 2 , seems like day 3! NZ are 236-4 a lead of 227

Not looking to good for England but at least Kane Williamson isn't scoring

Maybe the good old British weather can save them. An England win looks like an unlikely scenario from here.

Gotta feel sorry for Blundell. Let's see how many runs the last 3 wickets take

1245L Sunday.

Just needed Joe Root to be relieved of the Captaincy so he could concentrate on his batting, so subsequently biffs 115 not-out to take England to a 5 wicket WIN.
Joins Sir Alistair Cook on over 10000 Test runs and remarkably they were the exact same age in years and days when doing it.

Good to see the Kiwi players all applauding that milestone.

Well done to Ben Foakes for staying the course with 32 n/o.

England's first victory in 9 Tests.

I reckon the Team hat-trick yesterday swung the match but didn't they put us through the wringer afterwards!

On to Trent Bridge for 11am Friday and the weather looks good for the first couple of days.
