Catches win matches. Mitchell scored 187 after being dropped by Joe Root :grr:
Only 353 to avoid the follow on :D

Buckle up folks, it's going to be a bumpy one :P

Sunday
1300L
Day 3 and think we can safely say that was England's session.
Scored 105 for the loss of one wicket, plus Joe Root dropped on 27 so hopefully he can go on for a while yet.

1600L
Another good session for England.
136 Runs, no wickets and Joe Root capitalizes on that dropped catch to bag his 27th and fastest century off 116 balls.
He's now 12th on all time Test Run scorers, only 4992 behind Sachin Tendulkar!

1830L
At the close Eng 468-5 only 88 behind, but NZ shade the session with 3 wickets for 142 runs.
A quickfire 46 from Ben Stokes and an unlucky dismissal for Bairstow.
That dropped catch of Root now costing NZ 136 runs so far...

Just two days left so unless Eng collapse tomorrow then a draw seems the likely outcome.

Should be a draw now. A batters paradise it would appear. Root is a run machine :) Stokes has just got out though for 46 off 33 balls. 405/5

473/5 at stumps. England trail by 80 runs. Root 163 not out, Foakes 24 not out.

Not sure on the idea of Stokes coming in trying to score fast runs. A needless wicket to give away.

Posh are going to Wembley (albeit for a tin cup)

England all out for 539. I think that is a superb effort chasing 550

NZ really need to win if they want the series - they could come unstuck and England could ( at the moment) chase down any last day score?

Well played England

I know. How tempting is that. It could be a great day

Stokes to score the winning runs?

Shame I'm off to see Queen at The O2 or I would have gone. Looks like a interesting day tomorrow. Especially if England can get another wicket to two tonight

I suppose the other scenario is Anderson clings on with 5 overs remaining!

Who is ' Freddie' these days?

Will it be 'We are the Champions' or 'Another one bites the Dust' at Trent Bridge!

TMS saying you can just turn up but it is best to 'buy' your free ticket in advance online to avoid queueing tomorrow
