Always remember that it is the Party, not the personality one should vote for in a G.E. James Cutting. I have yet to hear the Labour party come up with any policies of their own, and if/when they do, they will not tell you how they are going to achieve them!. They are more interested in Tory sleaze [with some justification] than how they would run the country. Twas ever thus!!.

You may think that but I fear Labour didn't do well last time because of Corbyn, and people thought the greased piglet was the messiah, how things change..raptor9 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 5:45 pmAlways remember that it is the Party, not the personality one should vote for in a G.E. I disagree. You should vote for the candidate in your constituency that best represents your views.raptor9 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 5:45 pmAlways remember that it is the Party, not the personality one should vote for in a G.E. If you vote for the party, or worse the party leader, simply on the basis of the colour of their rosette, then IMHO you have no right to demand that the MP who you do vote should stand down/resign if s/he does something "naughty".

Your local council elections for your bins
General election for the national agendas you would like the liars to address
Blair lied about Weapons of Mass destruction ?

Could be worse, your local MP could be Matt Hancock
Re: Boris - it's all over now?
My local M.P IS Matt Hancock!!!!!. Yes, really!!. And I never really felt that it was necessary to resign because of an affair. I wonder how many other M.P.s of all parties are guilty of affairs that are not yet revealed??.

My MP is Liz Truss the next Prime Minister
I thought Hancock was ok , I think he resigned not because of the affair but for breaking social distancing rules - should have stuck with phone sex like others of his generation!
Boris has made a lot of enemies in his own party over Brexit - I think he was as surprised as the rest of us when he became party leader and therefore PM

Revenge is a dish best served three years later... but when the 'team manager' turns on one of his own 'players' in such a public display of unbridled vitriol, however accurate his assessment may be, it's just a matter of time before the boss gets the chop. Good riddance to bad rubbish (and that goes for Gove as well).
No disrespect intended, but I do think you are being rather generous with that assessment. Hancock fell because he had fully embraced two of the cornerstones of BoJo's lifelong modus operandi, lying and deceit, neither of which he did very well at all. Playing away from home and ignoring social-distancing rules seem positively tame by comparison!
Re: Boris - it's all over now?
The most recent policy Labour tried to push for was a windfall tax on the energy companies - it was laughed at by the Tory cretins, then once Boris made yet another catastrophic personal mess / lie they quickly poached it and called it the 'energy profits levy'. It's EXACTLY the same policy as Labour's.
Feel free to Google the multitude of articles available on Labour policies rebadged by the Tories.
FYI - I don't vote for either of the parties. But, due to the nature of my profession, I'm VERY savvy when it comes to Politics.

It's all over now, to resign today
Re: Boris - it's all over now?
let the fun begin, at least Boris has the balls to stand up to people unlike some others and he did help Ukraine it remains to be seen who we get next and what they intend to do about the state of things there is a lot going behind the scenes with Nadhim Zahawi reports say he has got his gang together an will stand for job of PM i dont care who does what the who lot on both sides cant be trusted and we still await the outcome of Starmer/ Rayner saga.
