JUDITH DURHAM.

Sad news for us oldies. Judith Durham has passed away aged 79. Lead singer of 'The Seekers' that those of us oldies will remember. Lovely lady with a gorgeous voice. The Carnival is over.... :(

Sad indeed - we often had a Seekers' record playing on our record player when I was growing up. Many miles away now...!

She was performing in Torquay during the summer of 1965. A wonderful voice. I still have two of the Seekers’ LPs, unplayable due to many house moves.
Her jazz performances were fabulous. A cd of her still gets a whirl from time to time.
Sad.

Sad news indeed, we of a certain age are getting fewer and fewer, RIP. :(
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Some not so olds appreciate how good a singer she was as well. I dont have many memories of my younger years while we lived along the road in Perth, but certainly remember being a regular at a second hand record shop. My sis and i would get up every Saturday and play records and The Seekers were a big part of that.
