Damn, all that work for nothing. Bet he's mightily annoyed after that drive.

The race has FINISHED, so of course I can talk about it! In other threads people are giving live updates to scores etc, so please give up with the 'spoiler alert' crap.

As for the rest of your post, I've just got no idea!
Just doesn't hurt to show respect to the multiple members here that have mentioned they don't always get to watch the races live. It's not too much trouble to not name drivers in their positions or actions does it?

Also, maybe Hamilton would have found it easier to overtake if the car ahead was legal? ;)

But why read a thread knowing it may give the game away? Also been said before.

Again, people are giving out live updates about other sports in other threads so why is this one so precious? If there were a forum wide ban on talking about sports until a certain amount of time after the actual event, then that would be different, but there isn't, so I don't see why this one should be any different to the rest of the forum. If I am unable to watch a race live, then I simply don't come into the thread until I've caught up.

I really don't see any good reason why shouldn't we be able to discuss the result once the race is over, other than someone might accidentally click on the thread who hasn't seen it!

McLaren closing in on Redbull in the constructors - Perez costing the team valuable points ( 50% of Max's score)

Extraordinary how a team that were nowhere at the start of the season are now hot property.

I know it is coincidental but Red bull seems to have declined since Newey declared he is leaving the team - just adds to the mythology of the man

It's not just McLaren, so are Mercedes. And the odd race where Ferrari are up there too. It's a shame the whole season hasn't been like this.
Perez is the only driver in the top 8 without a win.....

But as has been said, members have had results spoilt for them by reading this thread. So if your happy to be part of that, do what you gotta do.
How is that anyone's fault other than people who chose to read this chat (as that's what this is, a chat about the season) if they don't yet know the result? Do we have to now check with everyone first going forwards if they know the results yet before we have a chat?? :S :S It's rarely stopped anyone before and why now.

Not sure what you've been watching. We've had 14 races, of which 50% have been won by drivers other than Verstapppen, a much more entertaining/closer season than many anticipated. Red Bull have also not won in the last 4 races. So considering we've not even had the "whole season" yet.

Watch out for FC Rule 4 - we don't want another disqualification like Russell :halo:

Norris is another one making too many mistakes - I prefer Piastri and hope he catches Lando up

It still looks like Verstappen will edge enough points each race to win the title but the constructors is as mentioned looking really tight - I really think the Woking team can win it which would be a major turnaround. I wonder what in reality has changed, the cars look the same?

Only since Miami. Even with his brake issue in Oz no one thought at the time he'd not be WDC come the end of the season. Norris was the first to beat them on genuine pace, the races since have been where the change is. And as I was eluding to, by that time there was already a huge points buffer that would be difficult to catch assuming it was one driver trying, not a different one every time!

Also of note over the weekend was a meeting between Laurent Mekies(Torro Roso team boss), horny horner and Ricciardo, where the latter was seen to be 'jubilant' upon its end.

There is known to be a meeting amongst Perez's team bosses today regarding his own future.

Poor Tsunoda. What else does he have to do for a drive there.

Looks like Russell's disqualification was down to his one stop strategy and losing too much rubber off the tyres..oops
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Interesting reading that as well - but somehow didn't affect the other drivers who one stopped?

He's tied to Honda, though reportably won't be going with them to Aston Martin next year!

Also just noticed there is another month break in between Singapore and Austin. Great...

Good point James, maybe it did but not made the press 🤔

Another point mentioned is that no warm down lap so no picking up 'marbles', just a thought..

Maybe he also used more fuel than everybody else to keep LH at bay? Hamilton was being advised to lift and coast pretty early on, and there was no safety car.
