That's as good as a blackout isn't it? No idea what TNT's subscriber numbers are mind. Add in the stupid o'clock starts and it's hardly worth it.

I shall listen on talk sport ( i can think of another name for the station)

It is ages since I tuned into Alan Brazil in the morning - is he still there and what about Darren Gough, I preferred him as a cricketer rather than a broadcaster

I quite like listening to the Breakfast show when I have to go into office on a Wednesday. Brazil is still on there and most of the time with Ally McCoist. Jeff Stelling is also on the Breakfast show some mornings.

Alan Brazil is a boring old dinosaur that's why he is stuck on radio nowadays but Ally McCoist is probably the best football commentator around just now.

Anyway back to cricket :)

Brook returning home with immediate effect. One down and not a ball bowled

Kohli also now not available for first two Tests. Time the authorities took notice of the schedules professional sports people are required to undertake.

Franchise cricket will kill Test cricket if something isn’t done. Look at the controversy of the South African Test squad announced for New Zealand tour. All because of the SA20.

Back on topic, let’s see how England deal with spin on the tour

Bashir has left the squad temporarily
Spinner Shoaib Bashir has returned to the UK in order to sort the visa delay which is preventing him from joining the England squad in India.

ENG team announced. Going with one fast bowler (Wood) and three spinners (Leach, Hartley and Ahmed). Presumably Root could also bowl some spin but Stokes is not going to bowl.

Good to see Foakes back behind the stumps.

The noise of the crowd is annoying already. The stadium is quite empty but sounds like it’s got lots of kids in attendance. Bit like the high pitched screaming at Wembley because of the kids

Survived the first over without loss
