RIP Johnnie Walker
RIP Johnnie Walker
God Bless Johnnie Walker who has passed away today - a broadcasting legend. RIP Sir!
Re: RIP Johnnie Walker
That's sad news, I always enjoyed his shows on Radio One in the 70's & 80's.
My Cousin Peter wrote all of the questions for Johnnie's 'Pop the question' quiz for his lunchtime show on Radio One, but that's another story.

What a lovely calm voice he had. Always good to listen to.
Re: RIP Johnnie Walker
I remember Johnnies "kiss in the car club" back in the 1960s on Radio Caroline.
Kiss all the way through a record to get a sticker.
Always one of my favorite DJ's in those long gone days. Played our kind of music.
A very sad day for the music scene.
Condolences from my wife of 54 years and myself (both KITCC members)
RIP Johnnie.

The perfect voice, sad news indeed, RIP
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
Re: RIP Johnnie Walker
Just seen this on here: I'm stunned how I've managed to miss this.
I watch the news avidly (given up with newspapers) and I can't say I saw anything about it.
Yet last night the news was full of Stormzy (WHO?) getting a driving ban for using his mobile whilst driving, yet no mention of Johnnie.
Johnnie wasn't a radio presenter pretending to be a D.J. he was a real D.J. and kept me going for years on my daily 70 mile commute.
He will be sorely missed
