Cheers guys! I must admit I am rather enjoying this build so far...
BeerMonster the wings are all one piece. I will be moving onto them tomorrow night at some point. I will get a shot up for you to see them before hand mate

That is a really nice kit, I made one of these a couple of years ago. Will it be SOTB or will you bung in a few after markets?

Re: Monogram B-17G 1/48th
Ok, just a small update at this time as I am awaiting delivery of some fresh paints
I am building this model with the Flaps down, so I ordered some Paragon resin flaps from Hannats (very swift delivery
)

Fitting of the resin flaps involved cutting away the original flap area and then simply glue in the new resin ones

That's all for now folks,
Cheers
Stuart

Re: Zvezda 1/144 TU 160 'Blackjack'
Evening all!!
I have done a wee bit more on my 160. I have installed the pit in to the bottom half of the Airframe and gor the rest of it all painted up. I am now at the stage where I am painting up the engines. I am also stuggling to find any ideas on the bomb paint scheme
Any ideas would be greatfull!!
Here is a Few shots!

Beer Monster here is a shot of the wing. As you can see it is a one piece mould

The wings on the real Blackjack are variable swept... on the model you get no such luxury
You have 3 pre set angles in which you can choose! Which do you think will look better...
Not Swept...

Part Way Swpet...

Fully Swept...

Answers on a postcard please
Please let me knoe what you all think.
I will get some more done tomorrow. Im going to the pub tonight

Looking good mate
I like the non swept look but I guess it depends on how much space you have

Re: Airfix Ju-87B Stuka
I try and use 'Dry Brushing' with a wee bit of silver. It is really good for picking out the detail. You can always try and paint some of the switches or dials. When Dry brushing just be carefull that you dont over load the brush or it will just paint streaks... I always check out pictures of the tub to get an idea of what has been reproduced in the model and go from there. Hope that helps any other problems just ask and Im sure me and the other Modellers can help mate
