Getting a decent image from an old print that was taken on rubbish equipment is a bit of a challenge but I did the best I could!
Firstly, in a previous post I had an image of a 226OCU T4 taken in September 1969 that I said was probably one of the first aircraft pictures I took - how wrong was I!
This image was taken on 20th September 1965 at Coltishall's BoB display I was 11 tears old at the time and it must have been my first BoB display - the scan is from the 2" x 2" print (although I have subsequently found the original colour film neg) and was taken on a Kodak Instamatic 126!
Lightning T5 XS419 226OCU - IMHO the best 145Sqn markings ever

By 1969 I had progressed to a better camera - although not better quality by the looks of it
LightningT4 XM970 226OCU Coltishall 20th September 1969 by this time 145Sqn had lost the painted spine

Lightning F1a XM173 and Lightning T4 XM994 45Sqn 226OCU Coltishall 28th October 1969 - I think this was taken from the crash gate at the North side of the runway at the Scottow end

Lightning T4 XM995 92Sqn Coltishall September 1974 Bob open day I believe

Lightning F1 XM135 226OCU I believe this was probably taken around the 1974 era too. I didn't realise at the time that it was the very aircraft that W/C Taffy Holden inadvertently took for a spin.
It is now preserved at Duxford and https://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.u ... .php?id=30 give a brief synopsis of the incident for anybody not aware of it (although I would assume that most Lightning enthusiasts know all about it

Looks like it was taken from the Scottow crash gate
