Channel 4 Jet Crash....

Not too sure about this, some may view it for completely wrong reasons, yet it may be interesting.....considering there will be LIVE pilots onboard to take the thing into the air.

Thats the NASA 707 crash i think. Channel 4 say they will use a 300 seater, 707 maxes out at about 220 people so im not sure what airframe they may use....... :S

Probably an old A310 or A300. Plenty of old 767's around too.

Not sure why they want pilots onboard to take off etc and then parachute out. What if they fail to get out (ok its probably going to be fine) but it seems silly considering all this can be done from the ground remotely.... from take off to crashing.

The whole thing seems to just be a way of boosting ratings. Like I said Ive seen them do it before and although dramatic, to do it on national TV is just voyeuristic. I agree that we need to crash them for research but for a TV program its a bit much, what next "strictly come crashing"
But hey, that's just my opinion

Whilst I'm not quite sure I see the point of this, it was worth following the link just to read the viewers comments after the article - if you haven't read them, have another look

If it's going to be a 300-seat plane, I think we ought to start a list of passengers who will not get parachutes.

Posh & Becks (plus the rest of the Spice Tarts)
Jordon and Peter Whatsisname
Gordon Brown
Tony & Cheri Bair
Simon Cowell
Nick Griffin

This list could be long ... ... ...
