US Navy in the UK- The Glory Years

Post by bigcrow » Fri Oct 18, 2024 9:53 am

Seeing as Mildenhall had some US Navy visitors dropping in yesterday, thought it would be nice see some US Navy types that have visited or based on these shores in the seventies & eighties. Again all took on Kodachrome 25 or 64.

Oh what a great post and such a good idea given the current US Naval activity.
At first I was really enjoying the A-6 & A-7's, then came those wonderful pistons and finally the A-3
Absolutely tremendous!
Thanks for sharing your excellent captures
Best regards, Terry

Excellent shots, thanks for sharing these with us and nice to remind us all when some airframes had a bit of colour. I've really enjoyed viewing these.

Excellent set again Stuart  Enjoyed having a bit of banter with Mick stood in fields on various approaches to bases. I think he made the 'exodus' up here to Binbrook

Thanks for posting, never get tired of 'class' work, thanks for posting
