The Somme Airshow 2025 - Amiens - 23/24 August
The Somme Airshow 2025 - Amiens - 23/24 August
In what seems to be a very similar setup to Sanicole, the French are presenting a twilight show on Saturday evening, 23 August 2025, with a full show programme on Sunday the 24th. With it being a bank holiday weekend for us in the UK and with the Amiens-Henry Potez Airport, formerly known as Albert-Picardie within easy reach of Calais, it’s a good shout for those British residents looking for an overseas show. Tickets are 14€ a head for the Saturday, 18€ for the Sunday, and while I can’t find a complete flying lineup as of time of posting I know for a fact that it’s the best chance to catch Polish Team Orlik, Patrouille de France, Rafale Display Team, a French Naval Rafale, an E-2 Hawkeye, and a Nord Noratlas. Surprised not to see a post about this show on the forums yet, to be fair.

There is also a Spotters’ Ticket available which offers advance access on each day, including the practice displays prior to the twilight show, 35€ per day or 60 as a combo-ticket

Any more news or updates on this event please?
It would appear that the main viewing area for any public attendance could be located to the
North of the runway? Not a great outlook if South-facing all day.
Unless of course, anybody knows different?

Re: The Somme Airshow 2025 - Amiens - 23/24 August
Ive attended this show for the last two years, It is indeed a south facing crowd line and the lighting for the day show is challenging. The grass runway is also a fair distance south from the crowd line, the main runway is normal distance and is easy to shoot at. The evening show in 2023 was excellent and the lighting pretty good, last year well it was a washout so didn't stay too long there. Last 2 years have had very good static stuff, with the rafales, hawkeye, a400m, PDF and belgua all being present on the ground along with most of the other acts. Unfortunately cannot make this years show but its another brilliant lineup. The final flying list is usually released about 2 weeks before on there FB page

Thanks for the Info'. I think I will leave this one as a weather-driven late decision. I'm always keen to check-out new locations for some variety.
