Yet More TEXANS on their way!!!!

Post by duran212 » Sun Dec 06, 2009 8:23 pm

Just noticed on Flightaware that another 2 , presumably on delivery flights, left Beech Factory to Toronto via DesMoines.
Losing track of them now, Iraqi or Israeli????

Cheers

Would be nice to see them in this configuration heading to Afghanistan

358mph, 31,000ft and a good enough endurance to stay on station for a while around the Kandahar, Helmand and provinces elsewhere.

Cheap, reliable, decent loadout for their size and two crew.

Not a bad performance to getting to the hot spots, a bit slower than the A-10.

What will they do at 31,000 ft then? I would think that they my be some what power limited in the summer out of Bastion/KAF. I thought the yanks were going down the Super Tucano route? Look cute though.

Next two are on their way to Goose Bay for their hop over the pond. These are two Iraqi's serials YI-404 and YI-405. If all goes well they will fly Greenland - Iceland on Wednesday so you might expect them at Wick on Thursday afternoon. Then we might expect them for a night stop in Belgium. Hopefully again at Antwerp as it saves me about 1,5 hours of driving to Oostende.

It looks like I'm the lucky one! Today expected at Antwerp are the next two as indicated above. Arrival is planned at 06:16 PM GMT and proposed departure according filed flightplan is 06:50 PM GMT

So if anyone at Wick can keep us updated!

Thanks!
Jeroen
