The black Hawk T1 has been used as a spare for the whole season. I believe it's only flown once, can't remember what show, but it was flying in Red 1 position.

Would love to see a full static display serials (Military and Civil) list on here if it's possible, was hoping for a checklist but it wasn't to be, also would like to see serials for the following in the flying,

Czech Gripen, Belgian AF F-16 + Spare, The Orange Dutch F-16, 2x RAF Tucano, 2x RAF Hawk, French PdF + C-160 Transall, Catalina, Vampire(s), Red Arrows, The Blades and The RV8rs(or whatever they're called)........

Already know the Vulcan serial/reg (XH558/G-VLCN)......

Had to leave Early so that's all I saw.

Moderators - feel free to move to the Airshow thread

This was my first Leuchars Airshow and it provided an interesting contrast to Waddington. I've never been to Fairford so can't comment on that. Some observations:

1) The view of the runway and display line seemed better somehow than at Waddington. You were never far from it wherever you were on the site.
2) I wasn't expecting a large static and therefore wasn't disappointed. Shame the LC-130 wasn't there though.
3) The fact that elements of the flyng display were parked on the crowd side was a big bonus.
4) I've never seen a crash before (even if it was an RC plane)
5) The fact that I could go all the way from Darlington on the train was a big plus point. I thought the management of the passangers etc. at Leuchars station was very good although the service from Edinburgh on the way there was packed due to lack of rolling stock.
6) Interestingly, I counted about 28 less serials* in my book than Waddington 2011 (which was also smaller than previous years), and I saw about 26 new aircraft. That's good enough for me! *I did write down the Red Arrows though which I don't normally do to fill the page a bit.

Would I go next year if it's on - yes, I had a really enjoyable day.

YOUR Right about being less a/c this year, poss the poorest turn out yet,i logged 100 seriels which is down at least 10 on last year, normally you can expected to log around 110-120 aircraft, still i enjoyed the show, bagged a lot of new airframes, very dissapointed that there was no TOR or TYPH Solo display
