Lakenheath do not release any sort of daily programme of flying to the public, you just turn up and see! However most days they are busy, you will be very unlucky if there is little or no flying.

This last month they have been airborne earlier than that fella. Sunrise is only an hour or so before and can provide some interesting light for photography, you might as well go for 0800 arrival!

Have seen them start departing as early as 7am over the years (normally in the summer though) and have seen them at low level in the valleys as early as 0745 before now! (but again in the summer), have a good day out, i love visiting Lakenheath, miss it too havent been up for a couple of years.

I too would advise an 0800 arrival time as recently there has been one wave leaving before 0900l and often up to three flights go off before 0900
Dont forget that the base closes down for the holidays on the 19th according to various Notams :(

Lakenheath closes the 22nd according to the NOTAM. The base is also open Wednesday 28th through Friday 30th.
