Re: Doncaster aeroventure
More please. I realy should make the effort to go through to Aeroventure again soon. Its an excellent museum but I must admit I find the Storage area the most interesting part. Any progress shots on the DC3, Harvard and Meteor would be appreciated.

Re: Doncaster aeroventure
For anyone who has'nt been there it is a fantastic museum and their helicopters would'nt look out of place at Heli museum or Yeovilton.
I had a good look/trawl through their storage area bout 5 years ago and finally saw the ex Iraqi Vampire pod after a few years of trying.

Re: Doncaster aeroventure
It's a very tidy museum, and they have done amazing work over the years. I remember it being situated at a farm near Firbeck before they moved to the ex-RAF Doncaster site.
Well worth a visit.

Re: Doncaster aeroventure
I have never visited this museum but it is marked for a visit next time I go to the UK. They really are doing a great job both looking after and restoring the exhibits. Take the Sea king for example, compard to when it arrived, it looks very complete externally now! Well done chaps!
Re: Doncaster aeroventure
Hi Bolla,
I had some flying lessons from there years ago and then managed to get some aerial photos of RAF Finningley that I must find and post.
I think Halifax's flew out of there during the war, I think
Viper,
If you do make the journey up then drop me a PM and I will try to meet you there. Your welcome for a coffee refill on the way back
Best
Rob

Re: Doncaster aeroventure
That's kind of you, If I get round to going past the border (fen border control is very strict ) I will do that
Im not sure if it will be this year as Ive got a lot of stuff on model wise as well as being allowed to do 3 airshows this year along with the 4 model shows. But I will definately come up soon.
