Both the MV22 that the Marines use and the CV22 that AFSOC use are in flight refuel capable. They both have an extendable probe that is fitted to the starboard side of the nose.

As there's no photos of the Ospreys in Current Military yet, am I right in assuming they're not flying yet? Does anyone know when they will fly? I am planning to go next month and don't want it to be a wasted trip!

Mach 1 is correct :P

15 of us in a tour party saw her go up/down/round several times, also from John's Field

Lighting was perfect for good shots, so those of you on the tour with proper gear, get 'em up

Cheers for a great day

I was one of those 15. Have to agree with Paddyboy, a great day.

Yep - here too ! Fantastic day -just got back to Berkshire. CV22 was still in the circuit when we left at 19.00.

Great day - great company and laugh 'B2 due in an hour!' Most of all a huge thanks to Charlie for arranging - top man although he did wash his hair in the field after (yep have photos and will post)

All the very best and thanks to all for a great day out

Cheers

Hi All,

That B2 quip was funny  the looks on peoples faces was amusing
Nice to see the Osprey in decent light, and to get a few pics, (hopefully post some soon)
Agree with the previous postings, was a great tour with some really nice people. It was good to put faces to names of you guys on here. Big thanks to Charlie for the hard work organising it all for us, and to the hospitality of all concerned on the base, and of course to everyone else on the tour.
looking forward to the next 'Grim Reapers' tour already.
