Very good.

Keeps the original Design and overlays the rear half with the union Flag.

look Forward to seeing it.

Looks nice overall... but not a fan of the "GREAT Britain" logo behind the roundel - that's a bit cheesy. :)

[edit]appears the Great Britain logo isn't a permanent fixture!

From the BBC article:
The design has replaced the three-stripe livery that the Hawk aircraft had flown with since the 1960s
.

Good old, well-researched journalism - not!

I also like the new scheme too.

Now that it is not a secret, I took some images about three weeks ago of a formation with Red One with last years' tail & five with just a dark blue rudder, red fin.

What do you think of a idea - a small white numeral outlined in dark blue on the red fuselage [or similar spot] ? Maybe on the fin?

Personally, I would watch them whatever colour the scheme. And wash the windows for free if it kept them flying ;)

Here's to the next practice :Wow:

There's no "go-round" in a glider.

And excludes Northern Ireland again!

It was bad enough with Team GB at the Olympics but now the Arrows are ignoring us too. Bet they'll take our money for displaying at Newcastle and Portrush, though...

Ah, but isn't the aeroplane manufacturer in NI a competitor of BAES? :D

I'd have thought something Union Flag related that's been adapted to fit on the tails of the RAF's aerobatic display team's tails would be what you'd expect to see?

Loose the Naff Great Britain logo by the roundel (Which I understand was only temporary) & I think it looks very good.
Not sure a whole Union Jack design Horizontally on the tail would work as well as the portion displayed vertically (you get my meaning) as it is.

Heck the team is strapped for cash & under constant threat so in this case less is more.

Maybe the design reflects a lot more than comes to mind immediately, such as its half the Air force it once was.... :ninja:   :)

That depends upon how far back you go, jaybee. And they are called the Red ARROWS which predates pistols/rifles/etc.

turmo, how would you include NI? Surely the Union flag represents that part of the United Kingdom, too.
