Thanks Waddington for informing us in advance that Vulcan has failed to get ready in time for the show this year! Disappointing, but there you go...

C17 and A330 are fantastic news though.

I wouldnt hold out any hope for the Vulcan, even if they do get it going, you can bet they have forgot to book it in for the old MOT test yet again. It will be,"thought you did it John" " no mate i thought you had"
We will all faint if it does turn up.

I guess the Vulcan charity collectors won't be in the viewers' enclosure this year then on arrivals day.

If the Enginetests go well the CAA should be doing the paper work on Tuesday as i see on another thread, ready for the final flight before the permit, still time for it to turn up, remember it can turn up on the show day itself!! :thumb:

A last minute reminder that Newark Air Museum’s opening hours have been extended on Waddington Airshow Saturday & Sunday because of the helicopter shuttle service operating from the museum site to and from the Airshow - full details here!

Why not call on the way to or away from this year’s Airshow? Lots of bargains in the Museum Shop?

We need to remember that amongst all the hope 558 gets her permit this week the aircrew then need to do training flights, & 3 practice displays before they can display in public,

but the good news is they don't yet need to renew their DAs as last years are still in date.....

No she wasn't .. I saw the aircrew leaving this morning, if there was any chance she could have flown today, they would have travelled down to Lyneham yesterday

PARK AND VIEW

Just wondering if anyone tried the usual Park & View last year and walked out on the A15 to take photos with a "stamp out". I did this a few years but last year the weather was so bad I stayed in the car most of the day.

I did notice it said a sign last year saying no re-addmitance on same ticket, but can`t remember if it always said that?

Regards

John

Hi John,

I'm sure they say this every year but it hasn't ever been a problem. Over the last 3/4 years I have always swapped locations(sides of the fence) a number of times and never had any issues.

See you there....

Looks like we'll get the odd shower but nothing too serious.
