Bomber Barons at RAF Fairford

Post by nick197 » Sat Jun 04, 2016 6:19 pm

Hello everyone, Here's a collection of images that will be updated throughout the B-52's stay at RAF Fairford. Hopefully I'll find different and interesting angles to not make them to repetitive.
1. 4th June A Boeing B-52H Stratofortress from the 23rd Bomb squadron (Bomber Barons), 5th bomb wing arrives at RAF Fairford. This B-52H 60-0007 with the callsign Icer 01 performed two flypasts in Europe, Berlin and Istres.

6th June These next 3 images were taken with my Canon 7D mk2 and Canon 10-18mm.

7th June This was taken with my 7D mk2 and 300mm F4, the 300mm has now been swapped with a Canon 100-400mm which I'm very pleased with.

Super variety of shots - 10, 13 & 14 are the standouts for me but all in all a terrific set.

Looks like the ground crew were going to have some work to do on the in-flight refuelling door on 60-037 in image 11. ;)

Really like number 21 shows a lot of detail :)

If you carry on producing shots like these, you will be able to give up your day job :thumb:
