Plenty of posts on MSF from people on base that have read the one there off as ZZ330 - all we need now is for them to check the data-plate or logbook to confirm the history!

Ahh, so it's common, of course, how stupid of me - I don't need to know its ID because it's common!

I dont have an interest in numbers, or get wat all dis txt spk is abt either. But at the end of the day, FC is for everyone who has an interest in this hobby, be it numbers / photography / whatever. If you dont like it, perhaps this forum isnt for you.

some people want too talk numbers/serials,its important to them as a aviaton enthusiast, where as others just want the ones with special markings or bomb counts that are marked. Each to there own....... no point in arguing??

Andy,

I would stop digging now if I were you. You'll find there aren't many more "real" dedicated aviation enthusiasts than those who will travel hundreds of miles to write down a few numbers!

ZZ330 is also registered to Air Tanker as G-VYGA.

Well, I suppose that confirms the fact that c/n 1046 = MRTT017 = ZZ330 = G-VYGA?!

I'd imagine the G-xxxx would be on a sticker which can be removed to display ZZxxx (G-VYGA -> ZZ330)

ZZ330 IS NOT at Brize.....

Repeat ZZ330 is NOT AT BRIZE NORTON :

he... he... he...

However what is at Brize currently IS...... G-VYGA Airbus A-330-243

G-VYGA was registered on 22nd December 2011...

Now try guessing what G-VYGA is EX (previous serial) Its c/n 1046

Not Rocket Science...... when you look at the Regisration G- VYGA = Voyager

Think this game is getting more silly every day.....

Have a nice day :

So the painted serial that reads ZZ330 on both sides of the rear fuselage isn't correct, think again

To confuse things further (sorry!), a report from an airshow in Singapore lists MRTT016 on the ground - that should be the one that's at Brize! Hoping it's a mis-pole...
