KNIFE71 / USAF V22 / 11MAY

Post by 750XL » Mon May 11, 2020 6:03 pm

Hi everybody,

My first post here so please be kind :P

I noticed 'KNIFE71', a USAF V22 flying the racetrack around Hereford for a few hours today (11th May). Just to satisfy my sheer curiosity, does anybody know what it may be up to? In my very limited knowledge, I think squawk 0033 may suggest parachuting? But if so, flying around for hours in the hold seems different.

Most certainly was parachuting, over Shobdon.

Thanks for the reply.

Interestingly I see that it's still going around in circles, 7 hours later!

Do these V22's have 7hours + endurance, or am I missing something glaringly obvious?

Could have been a joint exercise with a certain unit not a million miles away from Hereford, who knows.
