Thats correct I'm affraid, XV248 has been broken up for the museum at Inverness Airport. XV254 has been stripped inside and is just the airframe :(
But these aren't the only ones that have already meet their end, XV236 has already been broken up and is in a scrapyard somewhere near Boscome :'( I'm not too sure what the others are :S Thing is though, it's only going to get worse :grr:
Cheers Niall

These are indeed very very sad times we live in :( The Nimrod Fleet is just the latest in a long line of victims of this economically inept Government we have been saddled with.

Is there any point in asking if there is to be part of a Nimrod bound for East Fortune, it's only that they have a Comet already and would be nice to have both a Comet and (part of) a Nimrod in the same place.

Not long now till (hopefully) we can get ride of 13 Years of horrid numpties - mind you be careful what happens when we get rid of one set of numpties another set could come in and more damage - - - -

Just checking that XV248 is the Inverness museum frame as I'd got XV254 down for this. 254 is now outside on the south side east of the hangars - it appears to have lost more bits, including a large section of lower fuselage now.
