Notam says AIR DISPLAY
Think it is a late addition to the show season maybe
Would be great if like last time they flew together

dantheman_09, just like it says on Gary's complete NOTAM "18:10 to 18:40 UTC - add one hour for local/BST".

Try and keep up - in old money this is 7:10 to 7:40 pm in the evening.

Gents,

I'm thinking of making the run up from Suffolk in the afternoon now. The idea of catching a BBMF and Typhoon solo display in the evening light sounds rather good. Would any of the locals know if this affects the night flying that has been going on up there and I think is still NOTAMed for tomorrow? If they're going to carry on evening and night flying around this half hour slot as well then I'm sold!

Cheers

Personally I think it might be a display slot for the BBMF and possible a formation flyby with a Tiffy as a practice for the Queens Birthday flypass. Could be wrong. :thumb:

I think you could be right.
The Notam timing of 30 mins, and the max height of 2300ft does not point to a Typhoon display.

On the BBMF Flying Program site it just shows a Spitfire for display at 19-20 local.

Thanks Kevin, it's a good job you picked up on that as it saved me a journey. I misread the NOTAM and thought it was Monday to Thursday. It wasn't worth the run up just for the displays alone, espically as I wouldn't get there until after 4pm. I went over to Mildenhall/Lakenheath instead - which was pretty much a waste of time anyway! There's just a chance I might come up in the morning.
