Happy birthday to 771 Sqn - 75 today, formed on the 24th May 1939 at RNAS Lee On Solent.
Being the last significant anniversary before the Sqn deactivates in 2 years a special paint job would have been nice - even a bit of nose art?!

I believe there are a number of Sea King related anniversaries this year.
75th of 771
40 years of 771 based at CU
45 years of Sea Kings based at CU
30 years of Sea King 'AEW' at CU.
However, the plan is, or at least was a few months back, is to have to have a large commemoration/celebration/tribute and farewell to the Sea King at next year's Air Day.
