Inbound at 1200 was Shawbury 106 a Griffin (ZJ707/O), called a PAN on approach with smoke in the cabin and made an emergency landing in a field south of St Atha.

Inbound at 1500 to the downed aircraft was Griffin "Shawbury 97" (ZJ703)
