He routed round the north side of the Forth then crossed back into East Lothian around North Berwick and then headed directly south

It could be that the 23rd was a late addition to the schedule and was only agreed after the NOTAM was posted. I’m no expert and as far as I know there isn’t a legal requirement to issue a NOTAM (happy to be corrected on this ) but I’d be very surprised if there isn’t one for the 23rd - the aircraft ...

C17 ZZ177 is currently heading north. Just past Leeds

Herc ZH889 is currently heading up the east coast and approaching the Bass Rock hold. Think this might be our aircraft for tonight.

Just a wee heads up - there is info on Twitter today that there will be a 5th flypast on Friday 23rd August at 9pm. It seems to be from a fairly reputable source but i’ve asked for confirmation. Will post more if I get it but perhaps worthwhile noting meantime

I would have thought Leeming was more likely but as previous post notes 2 landed at Lossie yesterday so it could well be them as they head home to wherever. But then who knows?? It might not even be Hawks tonight

According to the Tattoo website the performance starts at 7.15 tomorrow - which is a change to previous years . As you know the flypast opens the show so aim for then.
Also - the NOTAM schedule shows 1805 to 1830 GMT so general rule of thumb is to aim halfway for time over the Castle.
