New Car!!!

Post by SteveS » Sun Sep 12, 2010 12:41 pm

Picked this up on Thursday morning to replace the knackered old Golf. Handled the cruise down to Devon and back over the weekend like a dream, and got 54.3mpg average!

I presume the media button on the radio is to select the scanner when it's plugged into aux. Wish I had one of those. :(

My God, I never even thought about that! :Wow:

Yes....Yes I am.......In fact if you ever met me, you'd know that my face is permanantly pixelated, like that Andy McNab chappy.

Seriously, a mate advised to do always do it years ago, it's to stop the plate being cloned and put on an identical car. Which means I get all the fines and tickets!

They don't even bother with identical cars any more, cloned plates are used on anything!

I might sound abit thick here, but whats the difference in 100 odd members see'ing the plate on this forum and you driving round in it all week and thousands of strangers see'ing it, i cant get my head round why its safe on the streets but not on here
We have over 3,000 members and many, many guests viewing the forum all the time (quite often there are more guests than members on-line).
A thief that clones cars will have an easier job looking at a very recent photo than a glimpse of a similar car simply driving past them or in a car park etc.

What Steve has done is the right thing to do.

Here's one of mine,it took me ages on Photoshop :-

No chance of cloning here.

Exactly, there's not a lot I can do about someone seeing me in the street, but that doesn't mean I have to make it easy for them and take a chance on here! Who knows what kind of awful chavs might have seen this...MikeB and Ben for example!
