Exercise Point Blank at Lakenheath
Anyone know what has happened to the above discussion? Has it been removed for breach of forum rules? Just wondered as was interested in details of exercise.
Re: Exercise Point Blank at Lakenheath
Presumably deleted due to the petty arguments...
Anyway, new thread, should be easier to find actual info now.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Re: Exercise Point Blank at Lakenheath
The bones of the thread are that its a joint exercise involving the USAF, RAF and FAF. Likely to be taking place on one day only, the 27th November. Possible airframes should include F15 ( C and E variants ), F35B and French Rafaeles. Supported by refuelling aircraft from Mildenhall, but not ruling out other nations - same with reconnaissance and electronic jamming systems.

Johnny,
I recall the thread mentioned that USMC AV-8s and USAF F35As were no longer participating but would dearly love to be proved wrong.

I saw that post - thank God for taxi drivers and hotel staff
Don't really matter when they turn - they won't turn round and go straight back home.

And they're nothing to do with this exercise either

Re: Exercise Point Blank at Lakenheath
Is it just an R&R visit for the F35s before heading to another destination?

Re: Exercise Point Blank at Lakenheath
Hello,
Following official french communication, there will be four Rafale from RC 2/30 "Normandie Niemen" out of Lakenheath 27 and 28th of November.
There will be a media day Monday 26th of November with french journalists, so you can expect a transport aircraft (maybe Casa 235) from Villacoublay.
Regards
Bruno

I moved the other thread into the staff area with the intention of cleaning it up. Had a rare Saturday off, so didn't get around to pruning it
